Job description

Assistant Operations Manager - Cambridge, MA Fast-growing snack-food Company with a strong social and environmental commitment is looking for a hard-working, motivated and passionate Assistant Operations Manager. Customers include large retail chain-stores, grocery stores, industrial users and wholesalers/distributors. These customers are both domestic and international.

This leadership position will assist the Operations Manager and team with planning production, allocating materials and directing work activities to meet customer and company needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to areas such as Production Planning, scheduling, communications with suppliers, staff and production. Responsibilities: Provide superior service by continuously meeting Customer and Company requirements and deadlines.

Responsible for ensuring all production processes and procedures meet company, customer and regulatory guidelines. Direct and coordinate production and processes. Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, work procedures, and duty arrangements, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.

Review operations efficiencies; analyze production, quality control, maintenance and other operational reports to detect production problems when necessary. Assist in the management of staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, and discharging process. Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree. 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Excellent Communication and Leadership skills.

Ability to think independently, as well as determine and implement appropriate decisions. Willingness and desire to consistently learn. Detail-oriented and highly organized.
