M&J is seeking Office Engineers to maintain project documentation including RFIs, shop drawings, change submittals, meeting minutes, correspondence, and contract records.
Responsibilities
• Maintain project documentation including RFIs, shop drawings, change submittals, meeting minutes, correspondence, and contract records.
• Track contractor submittals and shop drawings and coordinate review with project staff and TxDOT personnel.
• Maintain quantity tracking logs and documentation for progress payment estimates in TxDOT SiteManager.
• Preparation and documentation of change orders and force account work.
• Maintain document control systems and electronic project files in accordance with TxDOT documentation requirements.
• Prepare meeting minutes for progress meetings, coordination meetings, and partnering meetings.
• Preparation of monthly progress reports and project status reports required by TxDOT.
• Support project staff with contract administration documentation, records management, and contractor correspondence.
• Coordinate, prepare and maintain documentation and activities related to materials testing.
• Assist with preparation of contractor performance evaluations and project closeout documentation.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
    • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in construction documentation or project administration.

Preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
    • NICET Level II or III certification.
    • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Training.
    • Experience with TxDOT SiteManager or similar DOT documentation systems.
