Job description

The Fishing & Whipstocks Product Line Supervisor is responsible for the overall management, performance, and profitability of the Fishing and Whipstocks product lines. This position oversees manufacturing operations, inventory management, product quality, engineering coordination, customer support, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer requirements and company standards.
The supervisor serves as the primary point of accountability for product line performance and works closely with sales, engineering, operations, quality, procurement, and field personnel to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of the Fishing and Whipstocks product lines, including inventory, quality, and product availability.
  • Monitor product line performance, profitability, and operational metrics.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control.
  • Ensure products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and company requirements.
  • Coordinate production priorities to meet customer delivery schedules and operational demands.
  • Maintain compliance with company quality systems and applicable industry standards.
  • Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and customers regarding Fishing and Whipstocks products.
  • Assist sales and operations teams with product selection, quotations, and technical inquiries.
  • Support field operations by addressing product performance concerns and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in customer visits, training, and product demonstrations as needed.
  • Supervise and develop product line personnel.
  • Establish performance expectations and provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure employees comply with company policies and procedures.

Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in fishing tools, whipstocks, downhole tools, or related operations.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, assembly, and quality control systems.
  • Experience with inventory management, production planning, and operational metrics.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Fishing and Whipstocks products and applications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and manufacturing reporting tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
