Lead Retail Associate, Rocket Fizz
Description

We are seeking a high-energy, hands-on Lead Retail Associate to join the Rocket Fizz team at AREA15. This role blends sales, leadership, and guest engagement, offering a unique opportunity to guide team members, drive daily operations, and create unforgettable shopping experiences. You'll bring Rocket Fizz's vibrant candy, snacks, novelty merchandise, and other unique products to life while mentoring team members and ensuring the highest standards of ART!.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Lead by example in delivering high-touch guest service, demonstrating deep product knowledge and enthusiasm for storytelling.
  • Must be able to tell a story about AREA15 to gain interest and tie it into products.
  • Must be familiar with AREA15 Entertainment calendar to engage with guests and generate repeat business.
  • Must be familiar with Rocket Fizz and help guests connect with its products as a part of overall experience.
  • Must be able to stay calm under the hectic conditions and be able to multitask effectively.
  • Lead by example to all retail associates.
  • Serve as an on-floor leader and brand ambassador, embodying AREA15 and Rocket Fizz's guest-focused values.
  • Engage and interact with guests, showcasing candy, snacks, novelty merchandise, and other Rocket Fizz products.
  • Demonstrate and describe products to spark guest interest, upsell, cross-sell, and meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Mentor, train, and support Retail Associates in the ART! of Sales (AREA15's guest service philosophy) and Rocket Fizz product knowledge.
  • Address guest concerns or escalations with professionalism, positivity, and discretion.
  • Assist with onboarding and continuous training of new team members.
  • Assist with store opening/closing procedures, POS operations and fulfillment.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards in collaboration with management and visual teams.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking or merchandising needs with the warehouse
  • Communicate team member issues directly to management, including tardies and ART! Performance
  • Help ensure loss prevention protocols and operational compliance are followed.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, inclusion, and teamwork on the sales floor.
  • Act as a liaison between retail associates and store leadership to relay feedback and operational insights.
  • Stay informed about AREA15 attractions, events, and offerings to cross-promote experiences.
  • Uphold AREA15 policies, procedures, and appearance standards.
  • Be available for various shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate ART! (AREA15's service standards) in every guest interaction.
  • Adhere to department and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional, polished appearance in line with AREA15 standards.

Position Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Comfortable working in a creative, entrepreneurial start-up environment, introducing new concepts and innovations.
  • 2+ years of retail or guest-facing experience required; 1+ year in a lead or keyholder role preferred.
  • Must possess strong sales tactics to meet sales goals and lead the retail team to achieve sales goals.
  • Must stay up to date on AREA15 and Rocket Fizz entertainment offerings and articulate them during every interaction with guests.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot issues professionally or escalate them to the management team in a timely manner.
  • Passion for immersive experiences, innovative retail concepts, and guest engagement.
  • Proven ability to coach peers, lead by example, and build team morale.
  • Comfortable interacting with all types of guests, including children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in POS systems and standard retail operations.
  • Excellent time-management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, wind, rain, extreme cold.
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft applications. (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Minimum of 30 hours availability, hours available based on business needs
  • Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke.
