 Reporting directly to and under the supervision of the VP, Servicing, the Sr. Loan Servicer’s primary purpose is to assist Mortgage Forward to live out our Vision, “To be the members’ trusted financial partner“. Responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members, in alignment with our Standards of Greatness.


The Sr. Loan Servicer is responsible for servicing mortgage loans from post-origination through payoff date. Previous experience of 3 years servicing agency loans is a requirement.

 

 As a Sr. Loan Servicer your duties will be:

 

  • Serve as a point of contact between Mortgage Forward and its clients, working closely with Mortgage Forward employees and client employees to assist with loan-related needs.
  • Utilize appropriate security measures to identify borrowers and protect against fraud.
  • Assist borrowers in navigating servicing website.
  • Investigate and resolve borrower concerns, providing appropriate advice and counseling to borrower inquiries and problems.
  • Effectively diffuse upset borrowers and situations with patience and tact.
  • Serve as escalation point for member/borrower inquiries, may also handle lower-level inquiries as needed.
  • Answer incoming calls from members and process their questions and inquiries including payments.
  • Complete loan maintenance requests for portfolio and investor (including but not limited to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae) loans.
  • Process payoff requests and lien releases.
  • Assist with escrow disbursements and escrow analysis.
  • Assist with PMI remittance monthly to all insurers.
  • Monitor insurance coverage on collateral properties.
  • Assist with collection efforts across delinquent loans as back up.
  • Assist with agency and investor reporting as needed.
  • Be a willing participant in improving skills as it relates to mortgage servicing and consumer lending by ongoing reading, taking online and other courses
  • Serve as a backup to loan servicers.
  • Serve as a backup to VP, Servicing when VP, Servicing is out of the office.
  • Assist with other ad hoc projects and perform other job related duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations, and following all of Mortgage Forward’s policies, procedures and internal controls.


Requirements needed to be part of this team: 

  • Three years to five years agency servicing experience  
  • A 2-year college degree2, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or specialized training courses, or job – specific skills
