Position Summaryย 


The Post Closing Specialist is responsible for reviewing, auditing, and managing residential mortgage loan files after closing to ensure accuracy, completeness, compliance, and timely delivery to investors. This role supports the integrity of the mortgage process by tracking deficiencies, and maintaining regulatory and investor compliance standards.ย 

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesย 


Investor Responsibilitiesย 

  • Resolve suspense items or investor stipulations prior to funding or purchase deadlines.ย 
  • Upload and manage electronic loan files within designated systems.ย 


Communication & Collaborationย 

  • Communicate professionally with internal teams, title companies, attorneys, investors, and borrowers when necessary.ย 
  • Escalate unresolved issues or aging deficiencies to management.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, closing, funding, compliance, and servicing departments to resolve post-closing issues.ย 


Reporting & Quality Controlย 

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and pipeline management tools.ย 
  • Meet established service level agreements (SLAs) and productivity standards.ย 
  • Assist with departmental audits, reconciliations, and special projects.ย 


Required Qualificationsย 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;ย 
  • Minimum of 3 years of mortgage post-closing or mortgage operations experienceย 
  • Knowledge of mortgage loan documents, closing procedures, and investor requirements.
  • Familiarity with FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, and FHLMC guidelines preferred.ย 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.ย 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.ย
