Iron Oak Management, LLC seeks a Mine Superintendent in Kermit, TX to be responsible for supervision of the mine area located at the plant production site.
Job Description:
Responsible for supervision of the mine area located at the plant production site. Direct activities for the mine in compliance with MSHA regulations. Ensure execution of activities in accordance with Mine Plan. Monitor for safety of equipment, safe operation of that equipment, and any other safety concerns. Review equipment inspection reports and request service for equipment. Maintain communication with plant operations regarding activities within mine area and production area. Maintain communication and reporting with contracted mining company. Manage projects within mine area. Document daily activity to include tonnage of material and equipment utilization. Maintain reporting of projected monthly demand. Create environmental reporting for the mine area. Assist with development of mid-range Mine Plans.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or a foreign equivalent in Mining Engineering, or a related field of study, plus 3 years of post-baccalaureate experience as Mining Engineer or related positions.
Requires experience with:
  • Short or mid-range surface mine planning,
  • Defining, building and optimizing mine plans and their implementation,
  • Monitoring mining methods and equipment to improve performance,
  • Managing personnel and contractors working in mine area to ensure safety and productivity goals,
  • Maintaining records and reports and analyzing and interpreting mining data,
  • Modeling mining plans with Minesite/Vulcan software,
  • Overseeing surface mining operations under Part 46 MSHA regulations.
