Financial Analyst, FP&A (Contract)

Location: New York City (Onsite)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Pay Rate: $54.10/hour

Contract Length: Through November 17, 2026, with possible extension



Overview

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join a dynamic FP&A team supporting a large-scale ERP transformation initiative. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working with large datasets, validating complex financial information, and partnering across teams to support critical business initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in data mapping, data validation, financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities while helping ensure a smooth transition to a new ERP environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support a major ERP implementation and data migration project with a focus on data mapping and validation.
  • Analyze, organize, and validate large financial datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Extract, prepare, and reconcile financial data from Cognos TM1 and Oracle systems.
  • Partner with finance, development, and integration teams throughout the ERP implementation process.
  • Assist with migration planning and ensure data integrity during system transitions.
  • Support monthly forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis activities.
  • Build and maintain financial models related to workforce planning and operating expenses.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through proactive financial analysis.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of FP&A, Financial Analyst, Accounting, or related analytical experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cognos TM1 (Planning Analytics).
  • Experience with Oracle Financials or Oracle ERP systems.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, migrations, or transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace applications.
  • Media, entertainment, streaming, or digital subscription business experience is a plus but not required.
