Job description

Westin Kierland Golf Club, located in Scottsdale, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Merchandise Assistant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Key Responsibilities of the Merchandise Assistant:
  • Assists in managing the retail operation for the Golf Shop
  • Monthly inventory count
  • Greets guests upon arrival into the Golf Shop
  • Prepare all merchandise for the floor
  • Assists in creating/receiving Purchase Orders
  • Assists in maintaining the golf shop cleaning standards
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Available to work weekends and holidays

Minimum Qualifications for the Merchandise Assistant:
  • High School education or its equivalent
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training

Physical Requirements and Other Qualifications:
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Frequent bending, turning, kneeling and stooping
  • Computer skills with Point of Sales (POS) systems and Microsoft applications
  • Ability to multi-task: answer phones, greet members, answer questions, sell and place special orders
