Job description

Medical Admin – Full Time

The Medical Administrator is a part of the CooperRiis medical and integrative health teams and administers medications in accordance with CooperRiis Medication Policies and Procedures.

The Medical Administrator helps to support the nursing staff by passing scheduled and PRN medications, managing physical health concerns, and aiding with tasks in the nursing office. The Medical Administrator's primary task is to ensure the fulfillment of CooperRiis' mission by assisting residents in meeting their health goals and providing medication administration and monitoring.

Location: Asheville, NC

Scheduled: Day Shift 8 am - 5pm

Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour and increases based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents in receiving their scheduled and PRN medications
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner
  • Complete required forms and requisitions for drug screens, blood draws, lock box checks, exploratory visits, outside medical appointments
  • Assist the nurse in addressing physical and mental health needs of residents
  • Other duties as assigned by the nurse manager

Qualifications:

  • Medical admin, secretarial, or pharmacy student preferred
  • High school diploma
  • Ability to work with various computer programs and portals
