MUJI CANADA LIMITED is actively seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our upcoming Victoria, BC location. This is a multi-faceted role where you will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of functions. If your experience/education and/or skill set match our needs, we want to hear from you!

Role and Responsibilities

Sales

· Introduce and promote all categories of merchandise demonstrating consistently high standards in all areas of operations.

· Drive KPIs through business analysis.

· Develops team members by working shoulder-to-shoulder to build capability, ensuring operational standards and the best customer experience is delivered in the store.

· Understands store specific barriers to growth and ensure associates are focused on top priorities to deliver the best customer experience.

· Deal promptly and efficiently with customer complaints and in accordance with company policy

· Communicate customer views and reactions to Store Manager and Support Office, when applicable

· Ensure all areas are appropriately staffed at all times of the day and all customers’ needs are met

· Be fully aware of Company’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and key calendar dates

· Manage inventory by determining appropriate inventory levels; anticipating customer demand

· Prepares requested reports

· Helps customers by providing information; answering questions; obtaining merchandise requested; completing payment transactions; preparing merchandise for delivery

· Maintain superior knowledge of point of sale system

Visual Merchandising

· Assist in the layout and display of merchandise in line with the company visual standards

· Maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the store at all times

· Use weekly reports to maintain detailed stock information for practical display use

· Be conversant in all product knowledge and communicate information to staff

· Be aware of all advertising to appropriately inform staff and promote products

· Ensure customer satisfaction by seasonal merchandising presentation

Team Management

· Leading through our values while effectively collaborating and communicating information to deliver the right experience.

· Trains store staff by reviewing and revising orientation to products and sales training materials, delivering training sessions, reviewing staff job results and learning needs with store manager

· Work with the manager to perfect the customers journey with focused customer service training and best seller information.

· Has a plan in place to prioritize the right work and achieve established goals.

· Oversee stock supervisor in the maintenance and replenishment of stock, transferring and receiving stock and stockroom organization

· Ensure staff breaks are rotated daily and adhered to

Human Resources

· Provide support to the store manager in recruiting new staff in accordance with company procedures.

· Work with the store manager to ensure all staff receives appropriate and necessary training to perform their duties at a high standard.

· Ensure that schedule is created to have the right people, at the right time, doing the right work to maximize on driving sales and customer experience.

Health, Safety & Security

· Ensure company policy on Health and Safety is adhered to

· Maintain profits by ensuring a clean sales floor and store environment

· Takes responsibility for security of the store as well as stock and cash and escalate any issues.

· Limit stock losses to the minimum working with commercial averages (maximum of 2% of sales)

· Maintain awareness of security with all staff members. Seek to heighten awareness on shop floor

· Responsible for exercising control over all company assets and assisting in the inventory process

· Ensure incident reports are filled to record any unusual occurrence
