Assistant Managers work in collaboration with the General Manager to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the business. They assist in the planning, organizing, training, and leading of the store in order to achieve objectives set forth by corporate and their General Manager. They are required to understand, comply with, and enforce all policies, procedures, and standards outlined by the handbook and state, federal, and local laws. Assistant managers are required to record data and prepare company reports in an organized and timely manner according to company procedure which requires a basic understanding of computers. Assistant Managers focus on guest satisfaction, acceptable staffing requirements, product consistency, staff training, and facility cleanliness. Basic requirements include being at least 21 years of age, possessing knowledge of the service, food, and beverage industry, and being able to stand for long periods of time at 45-60 hours per week.
