The Assistant Manager partners with the General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, deliver an outstanding Guest experience, and develop a high-performing team. This role helps drive sales, profitability, operational excellence, and team engagement while preparing for future advancement into a General Manager position within approximately two years.

The Assistant Manager plays a hands-on leadership role by coaching team members, ensuring food quality and safety, supporting hiring and training, managing costs, and creating an environment where both Guests and team members thrive.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional Guest service, product quality, cleanliness, and speed of service.
  • Lead by example by working alongside the team in all areas of the restaurant.
  • Resolve Guest concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Ensure consistent execution of Marco's operating standards and systems.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members.
  • Coach and train employees to deliver a consistent 5-Star Guest experience.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, recognition, and accountability to build a high-performing team.
  • Foster an engaging workplace that reflects Marco's culture and values.
  • Support achievement of sales, profitability, labor, and food cost goals.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and product control.
  • Help manage labor through effective scheduling.
  • Review business results with the General Manager and identify opportunities for improvement.
