Description and Functions GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Thrive in a high-volume kitchen environment. We are seeking a Food Services Specialist to assist in the large-scale preparation of 500+ daily meals. You will work alongside a supportive team to execute standardized recipes, manage food prep stations, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

With the assistance of the Food Services Assistant, directs, coordinates, prepares and supervises the preparation of food for meals within the guidelines of the menu, dietary requirements, and the standards of appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation. Trains workers in safety and sanitation. Prepares all religious and medically necessary diets and substitutions as needed.

Directs the portioning and serving of all meals. Oversees distribution of bulk food and pre-plated meals. Ensures that health guidelines are met in the daily preparation of food.

Manages inventory and reviews on a daily basis on all items. Completes daily inventories of knives, controlled food items and tools. Observes and records food, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures.

Qualifications KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of kitchens and warehouses. Knowledge of food service equipment operation. Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations and universal knowledge of inventory tracking.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Substitution: 2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Food Services) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Food Services Assistant Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None OR Education: Associate's Degree (typically in Culinary Arts) Experience:0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Food Services) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Food Services Assistant Necessary Special Requirements PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to lift, carry, and push 50 pounds. Will be required to drive a delivery truck. Work evenings and weekends NOTES: FLSA: Non-Exempt Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions.

Drug testing will be completed on any position if reasonable suspicion exists. A background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant. A current Influenza Vaccination is required.

Employees of this facility will be expected to follow all rules and requirements established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding COVID-19.
