Position Summary:

  • The Assistant Manager is a top-level performer who not only aspires to be the best part of the customer's day, but also the best part of their team member's day. The Assistant Manager has a positive attitude, willingness to take initiative, and great communication skills. They are a self-starter who can excel with limited supervision. The Assistant Manager will also:
  • Essential Functions:
  • Ensures the Ziggi's \Standards of Service\ are always in place -exceptional customer service, excellent drink/food quality, accuracy, consistency, and speed of service.
  • Maintains great communication on a consistent basis with staff, the General Manager, Store Owners, and other designated contacts within the company.
  • Helps onboard, and train new team members.
  • Provides ongoing support, development, and coaching for all team members.
  • Maintains a safe and secure working environment for employees.
  • Places weekly orders with vendors.
  • Puts together bank deposits.
  • Enters invoices into QuickBooks.
  • Maintains store to meet operational standards to ensure optimal cleanliness, product stock, and organization.
  • Ensures the store is always within compliance of all health code and food safety requirements.
  • Addresses any customer complaints that may arise in the absence of the General or Assistant Managers, corrects the issue, and relays any incidents to their General and Assistant Managers.
  • Ensures compliance to policies and procedures and reports concerns to the General Manager.
  • Any other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good analytical and math skills to create and analyze reports, sales statistics and spreadsheets.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to work with teams.
  • Great attention to detail for purposes of erecting attractive marketing displays, arranging merchandise and maintaining store appearance.
  • Ability to perform complex duties requiring discretion and independence of action.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to perform varied administrative tasks; determine relative importance of each, set deadlines and complete projects accordingly.
  • Ability to apply appropriate decision-making within scope of work procedures.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Flexibility in hours worked, including holidays and weekends.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Demands:

  • The employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach and lift with arms, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee is required to frequently lift up to 30 pounds without assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications:

  • Some level of management experience- prior assistant manager or shift lead level experience - preferred
  • Prior experience in a food service or retail environment
