JOB SCOPEDEPARTMENT: PARTS POSITION: PARTS SUPPORT (PICKER)


Job Objective: Work with the parts sales team to serve as a parts picker. Receive and sort sales invoices and pick tickets by delivery and will call categories. Accurately pull parts from the warehouse to stage for will call, local delivery, and long-distance delivery. Be able to identify and manage priority tasks in assigned focus areas. Ensure parts are pulled accurately and any discrepancies are communicated immediately. Be reachable by radio at all times while inside the dealership.


Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F / Some Saturdays

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Core tasks for which this job is responsible:


Parts Support (Picker)

  • Monitor parts printer in assigned area(s). Sort and place pick tickets and invoices in appropriate bins based on local delivery, long distance, will call, etc.
  • Identify priority pick tickets and invoices based on established guidelines (separate document).
  • Accurately identify and pull correct parts and quantities.
  • Place pulled parts in correct staging areas based on information on pick tickets or as directed by supported sales team. Staging areas include:
  • Will call shelves.
  • Local delivery shelves.
  • UPS/FedEX shipping area.
  • Return pick tickets or invoices to applicable salesperson with parts status so final invoicing or corrections can be completed.
  • Be familiar with all Showroom parts and warehouse locations.
  • Return unsold/returned parts to correct warehouse locations when applicable.
  • Our Company is an Elite Support Dealer for Daimler. Assist in ensuring the Department meets all Elite Support standards.
  • Complete all assigned ARC training.
  • Apply the 5S process and mindset to all assigned areas and tasks.

    As Needed:

    • During times of personnel shortages, be prepared to be reassigned to warehouse support or to support other sections outside of what is established this job scope.
    • Assist Inventory Control Manager with cycle counting inventory. Overtime may be made available to conduct cycle counting.
    • Assist with any other department task you are qualified to perform if directed by management.

    Minimum desirable entry level requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to lift heavy objects (50-100 pounds)
    • Ability to read requests & part numbers accurately.
    • Ability to maintain a fast pace for extended periods of time.
    • Valid drivers license with clean driving record
    • Forklift certification or ability to become forklift certified
