Job description

Job Summary - Why you'll love this position SECURITY SUPERVISOR - ASSISTANT CHIEF OF SECURITY This position will report directly to the Security Manager (Chief of Security). The position will be housed at FTC- South, however, as designee to Security Manager may from time to time be requested to assist at FTC- North. This position will hire and directly supervise the Advanced Security Officers (ASO) at the South Campus. Will assist ASO's in hiring Security Officers and training of officers. This position will work with the Security Manager to develop security policies and procedures for both campuses. This position will be expected to work on the weekends. Days off can be determined after hiring. Responsibilities - What you'll do
  • Monitors the camera system, reports issues regarding the cameras and works with vendors/purchasing on replacement of cameras.
  • Monitors door system. Make sure electronic keypads on doors getting in and out of facility work. Contact vendor, maintenance or locksmith as needed.
  • Knows other Security technology and works with leadership to implement new security equipment.
  • Makes security recommendations to leadership.
  • Observes conduct of employees, residents, clients or the public and reports questionable actions Security Manager and leadership.
  • Assists other facility personnel in maintaining security and ensuring that necessary precautionary measures are taken for the protection of individuals and property. Calls 911 when necessary.
  • Responds to all calls for assistance within the facility or on grounds. Such as Code Blues, Code Reds and AAH.
  • Performs work in accordance with established rules and regulations; receive supervision from Security Manager or other designated administrative supervisor.
  • Works with the locksmith, environmental safety specialist, maintenance, IT and others to ensure security of the campus.
Qualifications - All you need for success Skills needed to be successful:
  • Good interpersonal skills and good judgment
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures of the State of Missouri, Department of Mental Health and FTC.
  • Knowledge of facility security programs including their planning, implementation, and control.
  • Knowledge of supervisory techniques and practices. Ability to plan, supervise, and evaluate security staff.
  • Knowledge of technology equipment used in the security field.
