About Our Family:
We are a warm, welcoming, and close-knit family based in Nashville. Our home is filled with laughter, busy schedules, and lots of activity as we balance two active teens, two working parents with demanding and ever-changing calendars, and a small, beloved family dog who is very much part of our family. Mornings are generally handled independently, but afternoons are when we could really use a dependable, caring person to help keep our home running smoothly and bring a sense of calm to the day.
We value a well-organized home and strive to create an environment that feels welcoming, peaceful, and runs smoothly. Our home has an upbeat, fun energy-we love to laugh, we move quickly, and we appreciate someone who can keep pace while bringing a calm, organized presence.
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting busy families and finds fulfillment in creating order behind the scenes. This role is about much more than checking off a to-do list. We're hoping to find someone who anticipates needs before they're voiced, takes ownership with confidence, and takes pride in making everyday life a little easier for our family. Above all, we'd love to welcome someone who is looking to become a trusted, long-term member of our household.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who is naturally proactive, highly organized, and genuinely enjoys making life easier for busy families. You will thrive in this role if you are:
  • A proactive self-starter who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative without being asked
  • Warm, positive, and calm under pressure, bringing a reassuring presence to a busy household
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys caring for children and supporting their growth, independence, and daily routines with patience, kindness, and consistency
  • Highly organized, with a talent for creating and maintaining systems that keep a home running smoothly
  • An excellent communicator who keeps the family informed while working independently
  • Comfortable balancing household management, administrative support, errands, meal prep, and light childcare as priorities shift throughout the day
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and able to manage confidential household information with discretion
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to jump in wherever needed and take ownership of evolving responsibilities
  • Someone looking for a long-term partnership with a family who values professionalism, initiative, and mutual respect

Key Responsibilities:
Family Support & Child Assistance
  • Provide reliable afternoon school pickups for both children (two separate schools)
  • Assist with after-school logistics, including sports drop-offs and activity coordination
  • Prep backpacks, snacks, and school lunches
  • Kindly encourage kids to participate in age-appropriate tidying and household routines
  • Light supervision and backup childcare as needed during afternoon hours
  • Assist with kid-related errands (supplies, activities, etc.)
  • Support light errands for extended family members as requested

Administrative & Personal Assistant Support
  • Own and maintain the household calendar; calendarize weekly schedules and keep the family on track
  • Coordinate school events, appointments, and activity schedules
  • Assist with travel planning and coverage logistics when parents are away, including coordinating sitters for overnight care
  • Track receipts and assist with basic budget oversight
  • Handle school supply coordination and event prep

Household Organization & Maintenance
  • Create and maintain household organization systems (pantry, kids' spaces, drawers, medications, etc.)
  • Perform daily resets and prepare the home ahead of cleaning visits
  • Light tidying including dishes, surfaces, and high-traffic areas
  • Assist with event, holiday, and guest prep
  • Support packing and unpacking for family travel; help kids lay out and organize their items
  • Coordinate seasonal swaps and donation drop-offs as needed

Inventory & Errands
  • Manage weekly grocery shopping aligned with dietary preferences
  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies
  • Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
  • Handle returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, and mail/package management
  • Maintain running household supply lists

Meal Support
  • Prep healthy, clean dinners five days per week -- focused on whole foods, with ingredients prepped and ready to assemble (vegetable chopping, ingredient coordination, simple meal prep)
  • Accommodate household dietary needs: pescatarian and vegetarian
  • Prep school lunches daily
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization

Laundry & Linens
  • Wash, fold, and organize laundry for the household
  • Handle ironing, steaming, and any special garment care
  • Rotate linens and maintain a tidy, well-stocked laundry area

  • Keep family vehicles fueled, clean, and organized
  • Schedule routine maintenance and track registration and insurance
