As we navigate a period of expansion and strategic initiatives, we are seeking a production line leader to join our team and contribute to the company's success.

Summary:

The Line Leader is responsible for overseeing daily production line operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved. This role provides direction and support to production team members, coordinates workflow, monitors line performance, and helps resolve operational issues. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, dependable leader, and team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Hours- 6:00am – 2:30pm Monday-Friday

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Sanitation teams as needed
  • Ensure proper packaging, coding, label placement, and pallet configuration according to line specifications
  • Participate in training of new and/or transferring employees
  • Complete HACCP, quality, and production documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist with changeovers between products, packaging, and production runs
  • Follow all Food Safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and sanitation standards
  • Package products in accordance with established safety and quality requirements
  • Provide coverage for absent operators and support areas experiencing staffing shortages
  • Support line efficiency and assist in minimizing downtime
  • Monitor, identify, and report any food safety concerns or issues
  • Maintain awareness of facility security and report any security concerns or breaches
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Perform other duties within the production department and/or as assigned by supervision
 
 

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • 2+ years of machine operation and/or lead experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to learn and operate multiple machines
  • Ability to set up and operate packaging machinery, including coders and labelers
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across departments and shifts as needed
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality standards
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, quality, and production procedures
  • Ability to follow all safety and food manufacturing procedures consistently
  • Strong attendance record and demonstrated reliability
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
  • May be required to stoop, bend, and/or climb as needed
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
