Lean Portfolio Manager / Enterprise Transformation Coach:

Hybrid – Charlotte, NC | Hartford, CT | Short Hills, NJ


Optomi, in partnership with a leading Property & Casualty Insurance organization, is seeking a Lean Portfolio Manager / Enterprise Transformation Coach! This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Lean Portfolio Management Office focused on maturing enterprise portfolio governance, strategic planning, and organizational transformation. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of portfolio management, executive coaching, Agile transformation, and change management experience while partnering with senior leaders to improve how strategic initiatives are prioritized, governed, and executed across the enterprise.


What the Right Candidate Will Enjoy:

  • Helping shape and mature a Lean Portfolio Management Office supporting enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
  • Partnering directly with executive leadership to improve governance, prioritization, portfolio planning, and organizational alignment.
  • Coaching portfolio leaders and stakeholders on new ways of working while driving meaningful organizational change.
  • Building repeatable governance frameworks and operating models that will influence multiple business portfolios across the organization.
  • Working in a collaborative, transformation-focused environment where you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact.


Experience of the Right Candidate:

  • Experience with Lean Portfolio Management, Enterprise Portfolio Management, or Portfolio Governance.
  • Background in Agile Coaching, Release Train Engineering (RTE), Enterprise Transformation, or Program/Portfolio Leadership.
  • Experience facilitating executive governance meetings, quarterly planning sessions, steering committees, or portfolio reviews.
  • Strong change management and executive stakeholder engagement experience with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience supporting portfolio prioritization, intake processes, governance frameworks, and strategic planning.
  • Knowledge of Agile forecasting, capacity planning, OKRs, value stream funding, or portfolio financial planning.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or similar Agile portfolio management tools (Targetprocess is a plus).
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with experience creating executive-level materials and leading cross-functional discussions.


Responsibilities:

  • Coach portfolio leaders and executive stakeholders on Lean Portfolio Management principles and governance best practices.
  • Facilitate portfolio planning, quarterly planning, governance forums, and executive steering committee meetings.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of portfolio governance processes and operating models.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to improve strategic prioritization, organizational alignment, and execution.
  • Drive organizational change by helping leaders adopt new governance practices and portfolio management standards.
  • Develop executive communications, presentations, and governance materials to support transformation initiatives.
  • Promote consistent Lean Portfolio Management practices while helping mature portfolio operations across the enterprise.
