Grow a Land Development Project Team in Orlando
At McAdams, we invest in growth-minded leaders who are eager to build, innovate, and elevate those around them. As the Land Development Engineering lead for the Orlando metro, you will spearhead the growth of the McAdams Land Development Design practice. In this role, you will build and sustain strong relationships with private developers, municipal partners, and key regional stakeholders across Orlando and surrounding areas, while leading a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team delivering exceptional residential, commercial and mixed-use projects.
As lead, you'll be accountable for operational excellence, project delivery quality, and business development results in line with McAdams' long-term strategic objectives. You will also champion talent development by coaching and expanding the team to support growth and strengthen McAdams' presence in the Orlando metro.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the strategic direction, vision, and growth of the Orlando Land Development practice
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with Florida developers, landowners, municipalities, and reviewing agencies
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities and lead pursuit strategies for major development projects
  • Oversee execution of large-scale, multi-disciplinary land development projects with strong project controls and financial performance
  • Ensure predictable project outcomes through effective scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
  • Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing teams to support long-term practice growth
  • Mentor staff and promote a collaborative, learning-focused environment that supports career development
  • Drive operational excellence, resource planning, and compliance with company standards and industry regulations

What You'll Bring
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in land development engineering
  • Proven leadership delivering large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects
  • Strong credibility with Central Florida developers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex project portfolios
  • Experience in business development and growing regional practice
  • Excellent communication, leadership presence, and emotional intelligence
