Job description

Oversees a company's stock levels, tracking incoming and outgoing goods to maximize supply chain efficiency, prevent product shortages, and minimize shrinkage. They are the critical link between procurement, warehousing, and sales departments.
Core Responsibilities
  • Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate, real-time stock records across Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Cycle Counting: Design and execute routine physical counts of warehouse inventory to audit stock accuracy.
  • Dispute Resolution: Investigate variances and reconcile discrepancies between recorded stock and actual physical counts.
  • Procurement & Restocking: Monitor reorder points and assist in expediting materials or creating restock requests to meet demand.
  • Quality Assurance: Process returns, identify defective or damaged goods, and quarantine obsolete or expired items.
  • Reporting: Generate inventory reports on stock turnover rates, shrinkage, and warehouse efficiency to inform upper management.
