Who We're Looking For (Position Overview:)

The Inventory Management Specialist provides logistics and inventory control support across enterprise programs. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking government property, managing material flow, and supporting storage, accountability, and distribution processes to ensure operational readiness. 

The position ensures visibility into asset location, condition, and availability while supporting logistics coordination and maintaining compliance with applicable property management and accountability requirements. 

What You'll Do
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, material logs, and asset tracking documentation.  
  • Reconcile government property and resolve inventory discrepancies.  
  • Track asset lifecycle, condition, and location to ensure accountability and readiness.  
  • Manage receiving, shipping, and transit documentation and logs.  
  • Develop and maintain inventory reports, including accuracy, trends, and corrective actions.  
  • Support material handling, storage, and distribution processes, including SOP development.  
  • Maintain chain-of-custody and accountability procedures for controlled materials.  
  • Support facility readiness activities, including inspections, issue tracking, and logistics reporting.  
  • Coordinate material movement, delivery tracking, receipt, and acceptance activities.  
  • Monitor warranties, repairs, and vendor coordination for equipment support.  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely availability of materials and mission support. 
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):
  • Active TS/SCI clearance eligibility. 
  • Experience supporting logistics or inventory management within federal or defense environments. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for inventory tracking, reporting, and documentation. 

  • Working knowledge of the Federal Supply System and inventory/logistics management processes. 

  • Experience maintaining inventory records, property tracking systems, and material accountability documentation. 

  • Ability to reconcile inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions. 

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support logistics and inventory needs. 

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of inventory data, reporting, and property accountability. 

  • Ability to operate effectively in a secure environment supporting mission-critical operations. 

Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Familiarity with property accountability, asset tracking, and lifecycle management processes.  
  • Experience developing inventory reports, dashboards, or data visualization tools.  

  • Experience supporting facility operations, inspections, or logistics readiness activities.
