Job description

Position Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and successful execution of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Working closely with Project Managers, this role helps manage project documentation, schedules, budgets, and communication to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to EV Construction's quality standards. Seeking individuals that demonstrate a commitment to learning, strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and an enthusiasm for construction.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help support day to day activities of the Project Manager.
  • Help support the project team in the field.
  • Maintain and update project documents.
  • Prepare for and support with coordination meetings.
  • Help assemble, organize and execute trade contractor change orders.
  • Assist with preconstruction efforts for projects or participate in bid teams when needed.
  • Manage and coordinate RFI process.
  • Manage and coordinate Submittal process.
  • Help support any self-perform trades on projects.
  • Help coordinate overall schedule updates as well as look-ahead scheduling with field team.


Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in construction management, architectural technology, or related field and/or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
    • Or, minimum 2-year equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Must know how to read plans and specifications (CSI Masterformat) .
  • Must have proficiency in project scheduling software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam or Adobe required.
