Instrument Calibration Technician
Location: Clinton, PA
Pay: $30.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
TOPS Staffing is hiring an Instrument Calibration Technician for a medical manufacturing facility in Clinton, PA. This is a hands-on technical position responsible for testing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing a variety of electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring and testing equipment.
The ideal candidate has an electronics or instrumentation background, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with technical equipment and documentation in a regulated manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
  • Perform routine calibration of plant equipment, laboratory instruments, gauges, meters, and other calibrated tools
  • Test instruments and equipment to ensure they meet established standards and specifications
  • Track calibration activities electronically and maintain accurate calibration records
  • Maintain instrument and equipment calibration files
  • Schedule and coordinate external calibrations with outside vendors
  • Enter new equipment into the master calibration schedule and ensure calibration work orders are created before expiration
  • Develop calibration procedures for new equipment and revise existing procedures as needed
  • Assist with equipment qualification and validation activities
  • Plan and perform testing and calibration procedures
  • Troubleshoot, disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble instruments and equipment
  • Replace defective components and maintain spare parts inventory
  • Measure parts and components for conformity with specifications
  • Align, repair, replace, and balance components and circuitry
  • Use preventive maintenance software to document calibration and repair activities
  • Assist engineers with testing, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation
What We're Looking For
  • Technical school certification in Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment
  • Comfortable working with computers and Windows-based software
  • Ability to learn company-specific software and calibration systems
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple calibration activities
  • Previous experience working with technical instruments, gauges, meters, or testing equipment
Preferred Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a regulated industry
  • Medical device, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or other regulated manufacturing experience
  • Experience with equipment calibration and preventive maintenance systems
  • Experience developing or following calibration procedures
  • Familiarity with equipment qualification or validation processes
