Job description

Description Maintains and repairs all instrument and electronic controls for the Water Treatment Plant. Examples of Duties - Plan and implement schedules for repair and preventative maintenance of all electrical and electronic equipment. - Maintain and calibrate all process control equipment.

- Interprets all plant drawings, operation and technical manuals. - Generates preventative maintenance and calibration record histories using maintenance management software. - Interfaces with equipment sales representatives for purchasing new or replacement parts for inventory.

- Uses various electronic test equipment and software to isolate and correct all process control malfunctions. - Performs routine maintenance and repair on building heating/cooling controls and equipment. - Maintains and troubleshoots computer/plc hardware and software problems and generates backups of various program files.

- Assists in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing of water booster stations. - Maintains automated bulk water sales system and prepares usage reports. - Performs other duties are required.

Typical Qualifications Two-year degree or equivalent in electronics or related field; five to seven years experience in the electrical/electronics and instrumentation fields; strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers, data and signal transmission systems; maintains an awareness of worker safety guidelines and procedures, and applies these in performing daily activities and tasks. Supplemental Information Qualified applicants will be required to participate in an online Civil Service competitive selection process where you will be tested regarding your abilities to meet individual job requirements.
