Tanknology, a United Uptime Services Company, a fast-growing leader in the petroleum services industry, is looking for experienced, energetic, hardworking Field Service Technician Apprentice. As a Meter Calibration Technician, you will learn through an apprenticeship style program until you are certified. In this role you will work on various job sites, performing routine and as found/as left calibrations on fuel dispensers, truck meters, loading rack meters, and related equipment using certified test measures.

What You'll Do:
  • Calibrations on fuel dispensers, truck meters, rack meters, and related equipment
  • Conduct leak checks and flow rate verification
  • Diagnose, repair, troubleshoot meters and fuel dispenser
  • Complete work orders, calibration certificates, and variance reports with accurate notes, photos, and as-found/as-left data and ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements for state compliance, customer, and company QA/QC expectations.
  • Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on your company vehicle

What We're Looking For:
  • 1-3 years in meter calibration (e.g. positive displacement/turbine), pulsers, registers, air eliminators, strainers.
  • Ability to use and maintain calibration standards (field provers) with valid certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks (stooping, bending, kneeling)
  • Comfortable climbing 20 ft extension ladders multiple times daily
  • Basic laptop/tablet/computers skills for data entry - strong digital documentation habits
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to obtain state Weights & Measures Service Company/Technician registration (where required)
  • Valid Drivers License and ability to pass MVR check
