Description:

Nyhus Enterprises is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to help ensure our finished products meet customer requirements and quality specifications. This position performs final inspections, visual inspections, and product testing while maintaining accurate quality records.


The ideal candidate has previous quality inspection experience, understands engineering drawings and specifications, and takes pride in producing accurate, consistent work.


Responsibilities include:

  •  Perform final inspections to confirm products meet applicable specifications 
  • Calculate sample sizes and verify that the correct sampling quantities are inspected
  • Conduct 100% cosmetic visual inspections
  • Perform product characteristic and performance testing
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, test results, and supporting documentation
  • Analyze and present inspection and testing data as needed
  • Identify and report nonconforming products
  • Assist with the review and disposition of nonconforming materials
  • Verify that inspection tools and testing equipment have current calibrations
  • Manage and coordinate samples sent to third-party testing facilities
  • Assist with loading and unloading parts when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Requirements:
  •  At least one year of quality inspection experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and visual inspection skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience using inspection and testing tools such as film-thickness gauges, cross-hatch adhesion testers, pencil hardness testers, and mandrel bend testers
  • Ability to manage time effectively and maintain accurate records
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to stand, bend, and twist throughout an 8- to 10-hour shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in temperatures that may range from approximately 60 to 100 degrees
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
