This position is based primarily onsite at a leading local hospital, where you will experience a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to surgical patients. • Patient Management: Collaborate with surgeons to manage surgical patients, conducting daily rounds to evaluate patient conditions, and writing orders to optimize care delivery.
• Clinical Assessments: Perform thorough assessments, examinations, and diagnoses, creating and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Surgical Assistance: Assist in the operating room, serving as the first assistant during surgical procedures and performing minor procedures as required.
• Care Coordination: Facilitate hospital admissions and discharges, providing essential education to patients and families about preoperative and postoperative care.
• Emergency Consults: Participate in consults within the Emergency Department and Critical Care Units, assessing patient needs and coordinating care with other providers.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and concise medical records, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Clinical Excellence: Maintain a high level of clinical expertise and knowledge in surgical practices and evidence-based medicine to provide optimal patient care.

The surgical team caters to a diverse patient population, including individuals of all ages requiring surgeries ranging from elective procedures to urgent interventions. • A Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current board certification as a Physician Assistant and active state licensure.
• Possession of a valid DEA License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification must be obtained within the first 12 months of employment.

• A minimum of two years of advanced practice experience in surgery or hospital medicine.
• Experience as a first assistant in laparoscopic and robotic surgeries is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment with a focus on surgical care.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD $130,000 to $170,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications, along with potential bonus opportunities. Additional benefits include:
