The ideal candidate will work collaboratively under the mentorship of two board-certified pain management specialists, delivering high-quality care in our state-of-the-art Surgical Center.

This position is onsite at our Surgical Center, where you will interact with a diverse patient population in a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere. • Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting various types of chronic pain, utilizing comprehensive interviews and physical examinations to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Document patient interactions and services accurately in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Order and interpret necessary lab work, imaging studies, and referrals, collaborating closely with attending physicians to refine diagnostic and treatment strategies.
• Assist the attending staff in gathering data to evaluate the efficiency of treatment protocols, implementing modifications based on patient feedback to enhance quality of care.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding the results of their diagnostic tests and clearly articulate treatment goals and strategies.
• Manage refill requests for non-controlled pain medications, maintaining continuity of care for patients under our supervision.

The primary focus will be on patients managing chronic pain, which often requires sensitive communication and a deep understanding of their individual struggles. You will engage with a diverse demographic, including individuals of varying ages and backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet each patient’s unique needs. Your role will be critical in fostering trust and support, contributing to improved patient outcomes and quality of life.

• Must possess a valid state license as a Physician Assistant.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Proficiency in performing phlebotomy and other clinical procedures.
• Strong organizational abilities and proficiency in computer systems, particularly in a Windows environment.
• Capable of working independently while also embodying team-oriented values.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear interaction with patients and providers.
• Exemplary listening skills, demonstrating an empathetic approach to patient care.

• A minimum of two to five years of clinical experience in a relevant environment, ideally with a focus on pain management.
• Experience working with electronic medical record systems to support efficient patient care delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting.
