JOB SUMMARY

Key contributor to the development, optimization, and validation of automated immunodiagnostic assays within cross functional project teams. The role involves designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, documenting laboratory work according to quality standards, and supporting the preparation of reports for internal compliance and regulatory submissions. The ideal candidate combines strong scientific expertise with excellent communication and organizational skills in a regulated diagnostic development environment.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the design, development, optimization, and validation of new immunodiagnostic products.
  • Design, conduct, and analyze experiments aligned with project objectives and timelines.
  • Perform detailed data analysis and prepare clear summaries of results.
  • Troubleshoot assay performance issues using systematic, data driven approaches
  • Provide technical support for existing diagnostic product lines, including investigative testing and implementation of improvements.
  • Assist in transfer of new assays and processes to manufacturing or other operational teams.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant documentation of all experimental work according to internal procedures and quality system requirements.
  • Support preparation of technical reports, validation summaries, and other documentation required for internal reviews and regulatory submissions.
  • Contribute to and/or manage multiple scientific projects simultaneously.
  • Present technical information, data, and project updates in formal settings such as team meetings, design reviews, and crossfunctional discussions.
  • Contribute scientific content to external publications, conference posters, and presentations as appropriate.
  • Conduct laboratory work in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and all applicable safety standards.
  • Support routine maintenance, calibration, and general upkeep of laboratory equipment.
  • Contribute to training and onboarding of junior team members.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Product Development group.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline preferred
  • 5 years, Experience working in the medical device or diagnostics industry OR advanced degree
  • Experience in immunoassay or IVD product development
  • Understanding of immunology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, endocrinology, protein chemistry, laboratory automation, and immunodiagnostic assay formats (e.g. ELISA, CLIA)
  • Strong skills in experimental design, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to document laboratory work in a regulated environment.

This position is $70,000-$100,000. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. Beyond base salary, Diasorin offers a competitive rewards package focused on your overall well-being.
