Duties

Assist the pathologist while cutting specimens and make the proper determination of methods in preparing tissue for microscopic examination.

Operate the highly complex immunohistochemical stainer to produce targeted immunostains.

Prepare split skin substates for testing.

Prepare staining reagents to perform a variety of special staining techniques for immunofluorescence and histopathology procedures.

Perform difficult embedding techniques to ensure proper positioning of minute tissue specimens for freezing and cutting frozen sections.

Calibrate and maintain instruments and equipment.
