About the Role

Arkana Laboratories is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Laboratory Aide to support our pathology lab team. In this role, you'll play an important part in preparing tissue samples and ensuring slides are ready for pathologists to review and diagnose. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in healthcare or laboratory work, no prior lab experience required. We'll provide the training you need to succeed.

What You'll Do

Support Lab Operations

  • Assist with receiving and accessioning specimens
  • Help with daily operations across multiple lab areas (Immunofluorescence, Light Microscopy, and Electron Microscopy)
  • Prepare materials and setup for the next day's work

Slide & Sample Management

  • Organize slides by case and pathologist using trays and folders
  • Deliver slides accurately and on time to pathologists
  • Assist with slide filing and maintaining organized records

Maintain Lab Environment

  • Clean, set up, and maintain lab equipment and workspaces
  • Support inventory tracking and supply management

General Support

  • Assist with various lab needs to keep operations running smoothly
  • Take on additional tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word; some Excel preferred)
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to learn

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
