Job description

We are looking for a part-time Human Resources Generalist to support core HR operations for an organization based in Boston, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who brings a balanced background in employee support, administrative coordination, and benefits-related processes. The person in this role will contribute to a positive workplace experience by helping manage onboarding activities, maintaining accurate HR records, and assisting with day-to-day employee relations matters.
Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day support for HR operations, ensuring employee records, documentation, and administrative processes are handled accurately and on time.
• Assist with onboarding coordination by preparing hiring paperwork, tracking pre-employment steps, and helping new team members transition smoothly into the organization.
• Respond to employee questions related to HR policies, procedures, and general workplace concerns while escalating more complex matters when appropriate.
• Support benefits administration activities, including enrollment updates, employee communications, and coordination with applicable vendors or internal stakeholders.
• Maintain and update information within the HRIS to help ensure personnel data remains current, complete, and reliable.
• Partner with managers and employees to help address routine employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and consistency.
• Prepare HR reports, track required documentation, and help monitor compliance with internal standards and applicable employment practices.• Experience working in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR support role.
• Working knowledge of employee relations practices and day-to-day HR administration.
• Background coordinating onboarding activities and new employee documentation.
• Familiarity with benefits-related processes, including employee support and record maintenance.
