Human Resources (HR) Assistant

Human Services Management Corporation (HSMC) provides shared business and consulting services to both non-profit and proprietary human services agencies. These services include accounting, payroll, third party billing and collections, human resources, online and live Continuing Education, marketing, facility development and quality assurance programs.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant who will report to the Director of Human Resources and Payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes and tracks all Human Resources related paperwork including set up of new hires in HRIS system, status changes etc. Ensures all necessary employment information is received timely. Follows up with appropriate personnel on matters related to incomplete, missing or expired HR related documentation.
  • Processes Human Resources related paperwork including terminations in the HRIS system and education reimbursement. Ensures all necessary employment information is received timely. Follows up with appropriate personnel on matters related to incomplete or missing documentation.
  • Monthly and Quarterly Reporting. Works with Human Resources Generalist to generate and distribute reports to operating directors, managers, and/or Vice President of Operations and Human Resources providing information including but not limited to missing file documentation, certifications and license expirations, CORI and re-CORI status, New Hire and Termination reports.
  • Performance Management Administration. Tracks reviews due and overdue through HRIS system. Runs monthly reports and sends notifications to managers advising them of reviews due and overdue. Enters data in HRIS system for reviews received and keeps HRIS system current.
  • Completes employment verifications.
  • Filing and maintenance of personnel files, I-9 files and CORI files.
  • Provide telephone coverage and receptionist duties.
  • Errands as necessary (requiring use of personal vehicle).
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree preferred; relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
  • At least two years of experience in human resources strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer and communication skills.
  • Must have high attention to detail.
