Job description

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position will provide a wide range of support to the Temporary Foreign Workers at Hendriks Greenhouses. Hours may vary and a high degree of flexibility is required.

Job duties:

  • Assist HR with Temporary Foreign Worker employee onboarding and training.
  • Conducting ongoing wellness checks with workers. Work with Human Resources to address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Conducting regular housing inspections and working with the Maintenance Department to address issues.
  • Provide support to Temporary Foreign Workers for various issues. This may include transportation to and from medical appointments, airport bus drop offs, banking and shopping trips.
  • Provide translation support for workers.
  • Work with the Human Resources Department to update TFW records.
  • Working with the Human Resources Department to facilitate improvements to the program.

Skills Required:

  • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Valid Ontario "G" Class License
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Customer focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion
