Job description


Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join a growing hair restoration and aesthetic medicine practice. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to patient care.

Previous experience in dermatology, aesthetics, cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery, or hair restoration is preferred but not required. This role involves assisting providers during consultations, treatments, and procedures, while ensuring an exceptional patient experience. Cross-training in hair restoration surgery may be required based on clinic needs.

Location : Bellevue, WA

Key Responsibilities Clinical Support
  • Obtain and document vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, etc.)

  • Conduct patient intake, including medical history review and patient interviews

  • Assist providers during consultations and follow-up visits

  • Scribe patient encounters and complete medical documentation in the EMR

  • Communicate with patients regarding appointments, results, and treatment instructions

  • Send prescriptions through the EMR and coordinate with pharmacies as needed

Patient Care & Procedures
  • Take pre-treatment and post-treatment patient photographs

  • Perform hair and scalp analysis to monitor treatment progress

  • Assist with scalp injections, biopsies, laser treatments, aesthetic procedures, and other in-office treatments

  • Prepare treatment rooms, procedure trays, and equipment

  • Perform phlebotomy and prepare plasma for regenerative treatments

  • Assist with facial and scalp treatment procedures

Surgical Assistance
  • Prepare and maintain surgical rooms according to safety and cleanliness standards

  • Assist during hair restoration procedures

  • Support graft preparation, handling, and placement during hair transplant surgeries

  • Assist with surgical room setup, turnover, and cleanup

Administrative & Operational Duties
  • Maintain accurate lab and pathology logs

  • Complete forms, consents, and medical documentation with strong attention to detail

  • Answer patient calls and assist with clinical questions when appropriate

  • Maintain clinic cleanliness and safety standards throughout the day

  • Sterilize surgical instruments using approved sterilization processes

Qualifications Required
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Up-to-date immunizations as required

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

  • Excellent attention to detail and patient-focused attitude

Preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of medical assisting experience

  • Experience in dermatology, aesthetics, cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery, or hair restoration

  • Phlebotomy experience

  • Experience assisting with surgical procedures
