  • Prepare and coordinate interior design deliverables in accordance with contract requirements, agency standards, and project schedules. This includes the development of construction documents and related interior design packages.
  • Coordinate with project managers and technical leads to ensure compliance with project scope, budget, quality requirements, and milestone submissions. Be an integral team member in supporting design reviews, client presentations, stakeholder meetings, and responses to agency comments throughout the duration of the project.
  • Review project documentation for compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility standards, government criteria, and quality control procedures.
  • Assist during the construction administration phase by responding to RFIs, submittal review, participate in site visits, and supporting project closeout.

Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials:

  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to mentor junior designers and take responsibility for accuracy and completeness of design documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a project team environment through all phases of project delivery.
  • Engage in creative and critical thinking.
  • Ability to present to client groups and create design solutions that fulfill client needs and project requirements.
  • Proficiency in interpreting sketches, drawings, building programs, and related materials while effectively communicating the design concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce technically accurate, audit-ready documentation.

  • Understanding furniture procurement processes, FF&E specifications, and cost estimating is preferred.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited university is required.
  • 5+ years of professional interior design experience, ideally within an architecture or multidisciplinary design firm.
  • Experience supporting federal, state, or other public-sector projects is strongly preferred.
