Job description

The Assistant Front Desk Manager supports the daily operations of the Front Desk team while helping deliver exceptional service standards throughout the lodging experience. This leadership role assists with team supervision, training, scheduling, and operational coordination to ensure efficient front desk operations and seamless guest experiences. The ideal candidate is organized, service-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing daily Front Desk operations to ensure efficient service and positive guest experiences
  • Support Front Desk, Bell Services, and Concierge operations as needed
  • Assist with guest check-in/check-out procedures, room inventory management, and operational system oversight
  • Support onboarding, training, coaching, and development of Front Desk team members
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels
  • Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction surveys and recommend service improvements as needed
  • Maintain Front Desk supply inventory and coordinate ordering of operational materials
  • Help resolve guest concerns and operational issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Participate in daily operations meetings, leadership meetings, and departmental communication initiatives
  • Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
  • Maintain Resort service standards and operational expectations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of progressive hotel or hospitality leadership experience preferred
  • Strong guest service, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
  • Ability to multitask and remain effective in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office programs preferred
  • Professional, positive, and team-oriented approach
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to service standards
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
  • Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
