Description:

The Assistant Front-End Manager assists the Front-End manager in overseeing daily operations, supervising cashiers, and ensuring a high standard of customer service. Key duties include managing team breaks, handling customer complaints, resolving POS issues, managing cash drawers, and ensuring the front-end is clean and organized. This role often assumes full responsibility for the department in the absence of the manager.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise cashiers and baggers to ensure efficient checkout flow.
  • Create or maintain staff schedules to ensure proper coverage during peak hours and break times.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and training.
  • Maintain front-end cleanliness and ensure equipment (POS systems, registers) is functional.
  • Order and maintain inventory for front-end supplies.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures regarding refunds and price overrides.
  • Opens and closes store.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Observe all store rules and company policies.
Requirements:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance.

Leadership Ability:

Strong leadership skills and conflict-resolution abilities


Computer Skills:

Microsoft Office. Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems, cash reconciliation.
