Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son is looking for an Assistant Floor Supervisor. In the role you be managing the day-to-day operations of the Fabrication Shop, while ensuring all safety requirements are maintained.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to scheduling requirements
  • Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
  • Maintain a trusting relationship with work group, manage and develop shift staff
  • Commit to plant safety procedures
  • Address employees' issues and work with Shop Manager to address
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Proven working experience as a production shift supervisor, managing production employees
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Be knowledgeable of safety and quality
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Able to adapt to constant changing schedule
  • Ability to always remain flexible
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
