Fire guards in NYC typically earn between $15 and $25 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and the specific employer. The average annual salary ranges from approximately $30,000 to $50,000 for full-time positions, often requiring certification and adherence to safety protocols.

What security guard job pays the most?

The highest-paying security guard jobs are often in specialized fields such as executive protection, armed security, or security management roles, which can pay significantly higher than standard security guard positions. These roles typically require additional certifications, experience, and sometimes law enforcement or military backgrounds.

What second jobs do most firefighters have?

Firefighters often take on second jobs such as security work, emergency medical services, or training roles due to their physical fitness and emergency response skills. These side jobs typically require certifications and flexible schedules to accommodate their primary firefighting duties.

What are the duties of a fire guard?

A fire guard is responsible for monitoring fire hazards, inspecting fire safety equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations during work or construction activities.
