Job description

Project Field Engineer Level 2

Position Summary:
The Project Field Engineer Level 2 is responsible for delivering technical projects for MSP clients, handling mid level implementations, contributing to solution design, and ensuring high quality outcomes. This role interacts directly with clients, performs both onsite and remote deployments, and upholds documentation and process standards while providing guidance to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead implementation of mid size to complex projects (server migrations, firewall deployments, Microsoft 365/email migrations, network configurations).
* Execute project scopes and runbooks with minimal supervision.
* Support solution design and scope validation in partnership with Technical Account Managers and senior engineers.
* Travel up to 30% for onsite project execution and client engagement.
* Maintain accurate and up to date documentation in IT Glue.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with clients throughout all project phases.
* Provide post implementation support and conduct technical handoffs to Service Delivery teams.
* Assist with mentoring and training junior staff members.

Qualifications:
* Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* 4-6 years of IT support or technical engineering experience.
* Strong technical background with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, VMware, firewalls, and switches.
* Experience working in multi tenant MSP environments and with tools such as Autotask, IT Glue, and RMM platforms.
* Excellent project coordination, communication, and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
* Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, AWS, Microsoft, Azure, VMware, Apple, etc.) preferred.
