Job description

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking to hire a student assistant, in a learning capacity, to work under the close supervision of Field Engineers. In a learning capacity, the student assistants will assist with a wide variety of engineering work in either an office or a field setting. The student assistant will also assist Field Engineers to ensure contractors are in compliance with the contract documents (Standard Plans, Standard Specifications, Contract Plans and Special Provisions) and/or in construction support role to the Field Engineers.
