About the Job
The role of the Field Engineer is to assist the Project Manager and Superintendent(s) in managing the subcontractors and suppliers on a project site.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Act as a representative and advocate of JPI's Culture and Guiding Principles.

  • Observe how to manage a project.

  • Update and monitor all construction documents with changes through Procore.

  • Monitor jobsite work practices in accordance with OSHA, JPI Illness and Injury Prevention Program, and JPI Construction Policies and Procedures Manual.

  • Record minutes for all construction field meetings and ensure all meeting minutes are accurately filed on Procore.

  • Ensure that all subcontractors accurately complete and submit weekly safety toolbox topics.

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of daily reports on Procore. Assistant Superintendents to input data and ensure accuracy of subcontractor daily logs.

  • Develop, organize and track office documents as directed by Assistant Project Manager and Superintendent.

  • Create, distribute and manage punch lists.

  • Create, monitor, and distribute RFI's through Procore, maintain RFI log, and post RFI's to contract documents.

  • Assist in creation, review, and distribution of submittals to construction and development department.

  • Ensure project photos are taken and uploaded daily by all team members and labeled accordingly.

  • Prepare and maintain all documents required for project close-out.

Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with lock up and close down the job site.

  • Assist Superintendent(s) with turning units.

  • Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is preferred.

  • 6 months to 1 year of related work experience.

  • One year of experience in construction is preferred.

  • Must have good working knowledge of construction management theory and practice.

  • Must be PC proficient including strong knowledge of business software, including Excel and Microsoft Word.

  • A willingness to become proficient in construction software, including scheduling, estimating, and Procore.

General Base Pay Range

Please note that the posted annual base pay range reflects the anticipated compensation range for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity with existing associates, and the Company's budget at the time of the offer. This range applies to base salary only. Additional compensation, such as bonuses or incentive plans, may be available and will be discussed with the Recruiter during the interview process.

Annual Base Pay Range: $65,000 - $100,000
