Job description

About the Role 

We are looking for an Assistant Field Engineer to join our Operations team on our project in Chandler, AZ. This is a full-time, in-person position.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Responsibilities include operating electronic total station instrument, transit, Auto level and other surveying instruments.  
  • Reads, reviews, and interprets maps, drawings and diagrams.  
  • Sets and marks stakes for slopes, grades and other construction purposes.   
  • Determines lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions and distances. Maintains total station and field book. Maintains survey equipment and tools. Performs related field and office engineering work. 

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Possess 2 years of construction/surveying experience. 
  • Strong communication and time management skills.    
  • Proficient computer skills, including the ability to navigate and use standard business software and systems.  
  • Must have a complete of surveying math. 
  • Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects. 
  • Work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.  
  • Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time. 

Preferred: 

  • Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.  
  • Must be able to work outside. 
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.  
  • Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
