WORK STYLE DESIGNATION: Customer Hybrid (+50% Onsite)

WORK STYLE REQUIREMENT:  Customer Onsite - 90% (PHX-CUS2) / HTA Onsite - 10% (AZ2)

WORK LOCATION:  PHX-CUS2 (Phoenix, AZ)

EXPECTED PAY RANGE:  26.27 - 44.13 per hour

This pay range is for the position's base salary only. This position may be eligible for other compensation including incentive pay and/or allowances. Candidates will receive additional information during the interview and selection process.

POSITION SUMMARY

Field Service Engineer's will be responsible for preventative and unscheduled maintenance of Hitachi's E.C.R. Etching Systems at customer facilities throughout the United States and international.  Field Service Engineers (FSE) will be responsible to maintain the following sub systems; electronic, electrical, electro-magnetic, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, microwave, radio frequency, gas delivery, and wafer transfer systems.
FSEs report to customers manufacturing facility daily and take direction for the Hitachi Technical Supervisor.  Compressed workweeks may appl. The FSE must be willing to work overtime upon request. Field engineers will interface with site coordinator to perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The FSE is responsible for addressing all service-related issues at customer sites and providing training to customers and new field engineers. (E)
  • The FSE provides technical guidance to junior field engineers and customers.
  • The FSE is responsible for performing system installations at customer sites and completing field service documentation utilized for tracking system reliability and customer billing.
EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate's degree in related field preferred or
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience
EXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Senior Field Service Engineer   - Should have 3 to 5+ years experience repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment (preferably in etch).  The candidate should also possess a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Field Service Engineer II - Should have 1 to 3+ years experience repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment (preferably in etch).  The candidate should also possess a strong mechanical aptitude.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
  • Customer interface and communication skills are necessary for this position. 
  • The FSE must be able to resolve difficult technical issues and devise long term plans to resolve ongoing service related issues at customer sites.
