The Opportunity

The Adobe Government Relations and Public Affairs team seeks an innovative and well-connected federal government relations professional. The role offers a dynamic and enjoyable work environment. If you enjoy helping others achieve their goals, building an extensive network of relationships inside the U.S. legislative branch, advocating for a cause, and building consensus with other like-minded organizations, this position may be for you. A successful candidate will have knowledge of technology policy, federal appropriations, and federal agency IT budgeting and modernization processes. This role requires excellent communication and writing ability, high energy, and a curiosity about the constantly evolving technology policy, artificial intelligence, and the government IT modernization space.

The position reports to the Director of U.S. Federal Government Relations (U.S. Legislative Branch) in Adobe's Washington, DC office.

What you'll Do
  • Serve as a key liaison between Adobe business leadership and U.S. congressional offices (House & Senate), driving impactful policy and business engagements.

  • Advocate for innovative technology policy solutions across the U.S. Legislative Branch in areas such as artificial intelligence, creators' rights, consumer protection, and federal IT modernization.

  • Partner with US federal executive branch government relations team to assist in developing and advancing government relations advocacy objectives and public policy priorities.

  • Coordinate with the U.S. public sector sales team to promote essential US federal agency business aims. Aid in advancing federal budget and appropriations initiatives. Assist in coordinating and managing all components of the Public Sector Advisory Board.

  • Attend congressional hearings, government-industry events, and trade association meetings and report back to the business;

  • Build and manage advocacy efforts through active engagement with Congress, trade associations, consultants, and industry peers.

  • Assist in advocating for federal procurement and digital government policies that improve the customer experience and the digital service delivery provided by government.

What you need to succeed

  • 5 -10 years of proven experience.

  • Experience working with or within the U.S. executive and legislative branches of government.

  • Experience with technology and artificial intelligence policy and the federal appropriations process.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - both written and oral.

  • Proficient in using artificial intelligence tools and MS PowerPoint to develop presentations and strategy documents for public affairs. Skilled at employing MS Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat to manage team tasks and write policy papers.

  • Interest in evangelizing responsible AI, content authenticity, and federal digital government policy issues.

  • Ability to think and act both strategically and creatively.

  • Strong program and project management skills to leverage in managing the advisory board for the government sector business.

  • Strong self-starter who is a phenomenal teammate and excels developing and completing their own work plan.

  • Ability to take complicated technical concepts and translate in a compelling and succinct manner on paper and in-person.

  • Knowledge of federal government agencies' structure and functions.

  • Must be willing to register as a Federal Lobbyist.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Passionate about government service and the role of government in society.

  • Strong desire for success

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $88,600 -- $173,050 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
