Facilities Manager
Rochester, New York

Insero Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in the Rochester area to recruit a Facilities Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team of a well-established organization known for delivering exceptional guest experience.

The Facilities Manager will provide leadership for all aspects of facilities operations, maintenance, and engineering across the property. This individual will oversee preventative maintenance initiatives, support capital improvement projects, lead a skilled maintenance team, and help ensure the organization's buildings, grounds, and operational systems remain safe, efficient, and guest-ready.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative leadership team while contributing to the long-term success of a highly respected hospitality destination.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day direction for the Facilities and Maintenance team.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure the property is maintained to the highest operational standards.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and building systems.
  • Prioritize maintenance requests and projects while balancing operational needs and guest experience.
  • Partner with outside vendors and contractors to support ongoing maintenance and facility improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with budgeting, inventory management, purchasing, and departmental planning.
  • Support capital improvement projects and long-term asset management efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with hotel leadership to ensure facilities operations align with business objectives.
  • Promote a safe working environment by supporting regulatory compliance, risk management, and preventative safety practices.
  • Participate in operational planning, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts throughout the property.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience within facilities, engineering, maintenance, or commercial building operations.
  • Hospitality, resort, hotel, healthcare, higher education, or other large commercial property experience is preferred.
  • Leadership and management experience highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance programs, and facility operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coordinate vendors, manage multiple priorities, and solve complex operational challenges.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience working with preventative maintenance or work order management systems is preferred.
  • Flexibility to support operational needs, including occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency situations.
