Supervisor: Assistant Principal for Curriculum & Instruction
Status: Nonexempt - HTHSSSA
Hourly Rate: $21.75
Hinsdale District 86 is looking for a 1.0 paraprofessional in the Excel-erate (Credit Recovery) program at Hinsdale Central High School. The ideal candidate possesses strong technology skills and has a passion for working with students. This position is within the MTSS Department.
POSITION SUMMARY
Assists general education staff in implementing curriculum adaptation through tutoring, assessment and general supervision. May include working with students with varying cognitive, physical and social emotional needs in a variety of settings. In addition, may be responsible for preparation of classroom material, online work, collecting and organizing data, as well as performing needed clerical tasks and data collection.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE - KNOWLEDGE:
  • ELS(PARA) license
  • Strong technology skills to assist students required
  • Good verbal communications skills are required
  • Ability to organize information and problem solve complex situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to form strong coaching relationships with adolescents
  • Experience with high school students preferred
